Let me tell you about a so lovely story :)
Graem fell in love with this magnificient oil on canvas last year in Paris and bought it for his living room.
"La Seine à Bas-Caumont" by Henry LECLERC
Back home (in Canada), Graem tried to find where the oil was painted...
and he found!
So Today is a great day :
Graem and his charming wife are at the location where the painting was actually executed:
Just here !
and how lucky they are, it is a b&b now!
They chose the Seine room overlooking the Seine river with the same view on the river as on the painting
and I had the chicken pulpit when they explain me their story :)

Grâce aux falaises d'un côté et à la Seine de l'autre, l'hivers n'est pas rude, il gèle rarement en vallée de Seine, et les températures sont toujours supérieures aux plateaux voisins , d'où une récolte assurée.
Quant à l'été? Et bien à part quelques journées de chaleur (modérée, c'est la Normandie!)...Nous sommes bien en Vallée, on respire et je ne sais pas pourquoi il y a autant de piscines en Vallée...franchement pas besoin!
Et puis nous avons la clim!
Les grottes et les anciennes carrières cachées dans la falaise nous soufflent par endroit de doux courant d'air, véridique, postez vous au pieds du séquoia!
